Northwich Festival
Every Year over the August Bank holiday weekend, the Moss Farm site hosts an annual ‘Festival of Sport’. Now called the Northwich Festival it is organised jointly by Northwich Rugby Club, Vale Royal Borough Council, Cheshire County Council and DAN. Not just a sporting event this year the Festival will be a landmark event featuring not just sports events but entertainment for all the family. Check out the schedule below, hope to see you there! Friday 22nd August  Sportsman’s Evening
Sportsman’s evening with special guest speaker former Welsh International rugby player Phil Bennett. Five course Meal and drinks package with North West comedian. Taking part in the marquee.
Saturday 23rd August Rugby Tournament &
                  
Irish Night with ‘The Bogtrotters’
10 a-side Rugby tournament during the day with local rugby clubs participating from across the North West and North Wales. In the evening dancing and jigging till very late with the hugely popular Irish band ‘The BogTrotters’. See The Bogtrotters web site for more information.
Sunday 24th August Farmers Market & Battle of the Bands
Early start with a Farmers market, later top bands from all over the Northwest will fight it out in a Battle of the Bands
Monday 25th August  All Day Extravaganza
Bigger than ever event featuring fun, entertainment, sports and lots more.

Friday 22nd August 
Sportsman’s Evening
Like all events in the Festival, this event is open to all, but why not ask your boss if he’d like to come along, book a table and invite some of your customers and make a great evening. This year the guest speaker is Phil Bennett, former Welsh International player and British Lions captain in 1977. Phil played in the heyday of Welsh rugby and is an excellent ‘After Dinner’ speaker. Phil’s speech will be complimented by local comedian Gary Marshall who was voted Comedian of the Year in 1999.

The five course dinner itself will take place in the marquee specially hired for the Festival at Moss Farm and will start 7.30 for 8.00 pm. dinner.
Phil Bennett is planned to speak at 9pm with the comedian at 10 pm..

Bookings are now taking place for individuals at £45 per head or for tables at £450 for a table of 10. For each complete table booked we’ll include 5 bottles of complimentary wine.

Saturday 23rd August 10-a-side Rugby Tournament
Saturday afternoon will see a 10-a-side Rugby knockout Tournament featuring local teams across the North West and North Wales. Entries been received now - great opportunity for pre-season training. You don’t have to be a club side, just get 9 of your mates, have a good time then stay on for the BogTrotters later - better order a taxi now. The tournament starts at 12am midday and is planned to run until 5pm. Call Trevor Rawlings for more information on 01606 871636.

Saturday 23rd August Irish Night with ‘The Bogtrotters’
Saturday Night in the marquee sees entertainment from the famous Bogtrotters. This promises to be a great Irish night, tickets are £4 from Moss Farm Tel: 01606 79987. Tickets will be limited to 500, call now if you don’t want to be disappointed. Fun starts at 7.30pm. The Bogtrotters will be doing two sets from 7.30 to 9.45pm and from 10.15 to 11.15 with CD music while they get a break. Look forward to seeing you there.

Sunday 24th August  Farmers Market & Battle of the Bands
The Farmers Market will start bright and early at 10am and finish at 3pm. In the afternnon DAN will be organising a Battle of the Bands for local music talent in the main arena area. The winners will go forward to perform on Monday in a grand final on Monday night. ‘Battle of the Bands’ will start at 3pm and run in the main arena until10pm. See DAN’s site for more information.
