Every Year over the August Bank holiday weekend, the Moss Farm site hosts an annual ‘Festival’. Now called the Northwich Festival it is organised jointly by Northwich Rugby Club, and the Cheshire West & Chester Council. Not just a sporting event the Festival is a landmark event in the local calendar featuring sports activities and entertainment for all the family.

A full schedule of events is again planned for this year’s Festival which will take place between Friday 26th and Monday 29th August. Please find below an outline of the activities planned. Friday 26th August

Day 1

Comedy Club - Northwich Festival Special
Back by popular demand following the success of last year’s Purple Cactus Comedy Club. Join us for in the giant marquee for an evening of fun and laughter as we bring you some of the countries finest comedians at one of the biggest and best comedy clubs in the country. Tickets £10 available in advance from Northwich Memorial Hall in person or by calling 01606 814640. Book Early to avoid isappointment! Doors open at 7.30pm, Show Commences at 8.30pm

Back to School’ Fancy Dress Themed Evening
This year we will be running a ‘Back to School’ Fancy Dress themed evening. A live band called Cover Cats will be supporting the theme and the fun begins at 8.30pm. ‘MossFest’ Live Music
Live Music returns to the Northwich Festival with sets from local groups. This year’s Moss Fest is sponsored by the Chambers Fletcher Solicitors. More details of the bands to come soon.

Monday 29th August

Day 4

The Bank Holiday Monday, which kicks off with a massive car boot sale, will be bigger and better than ever.

The UK North Strongman contest with top contestants from all over the country will be complemented with a range of local displays.

Rudheath based NCD Cheerleading, Northwich Zumba, Elite Dancers and the excellent Quicksteps dance club are all confirmed attractions.

There will be the usual fun fair, children's rides and many other fun activities including the army climbing wall and crazy golf for you.

Charity stalls and trade stands of all descriptions are welcome and the Festival organisers want to hear from all owners of classic or unusual vehicles. We want to hear from all those with vintage, classic or unusual cars,motorcycles or lorries says Festival organiser Sam Naylor. There will be a showÂarea set aside for all those who wish to display their veryÂspecial, lovingly tendered vehicles.

UK Strongman North Finals
UK Strongman North Final, Witness some of the strongest men in the country as they compete against each other during the trials of strength. This event has now developed into one of the top strongman events in the UK. More details on the dedicated web site www.ukstrongman-north.co.uk
